Tahnee and Devine’s wedding was one I was looking forward to for a while. The plan was for it to be outdoors on the patio at the St Clair Centre for the Arts overlooking the Detroit skyline but mother Nature had different plans for this day. The weather just didn’t co-operate enough to have it outside so inside we went. With their friends, family and their 4 gorgeous children Joe McParland, a family friend, got the married!
With a window of 30 min we managed to hope across the road for some creative images that Tahnee and Devine were hoping for, thankfully the rain held off just at the right moment to get them in.
Here are some of awesome highlights from their day. Enjoy.
This is how Chantel describes how she was proposed to by Matthew…
“We got engaged in Iceland. He brought the ring without my knowledge and held it on him everywhere we went. He wasn’t sure when he was going to do it but he knew he had to wait for the perfect moment. We had just went snorkeling and deciding to take a hike to the nearest waterfall (Öxarárfoss). It was then he decided he wanted to do it. He had asked friends of ours to take a picture of us in front of this beautiful waterfall and proceeded to get down on one knee. Not knowing what was happening he took the box out of his coat pocket and was shaking like a leaf. I was so worried he was going to drop it and we would never see this ring again. But thankfully he didn’t, he got the words that wanted to say and without hesitation I said YES!”
It has been a one of the best years for me professionally. I want to again thank and congratulate all my clients this year for trusting in me, my vision and mostly my creativity.
I absolutely love photographing a wedding. All the challenges it brings, both personally and professionally. The best is the artistic freedom that my clients give me! THANK YOU! To all that have enjoyed and grown to love my style over the years – THANK YOU!
I will continue to become better and better, learning as I grow for all my 2018 clients and beyond.
Here’s to the new year and what it might bring to everyone. Cheers and enjoy some of my favourites from this past year of 2017

As the story goes – Ryan surprised Ida with a romantic private dinner overlooking the ocean in Dominican Republic. The setting was beautiful with the letters L.O.V.E lit up and rose petals scattered everywhere. The plan was for Ryan to propose after the meal and right before dessert but when Ida saw what dessert entailed, she had to have a bite or two and Ryan had to wait a bit longer…poor guy! Ryan finally got down on one knee and asked Ida to marry him. It was a very emotional moment and after Ryan proposed, he loosened his tie and drank his champagne! #therealbestwedding
Rena’s beauty and Alex’s style I got to photograph first when I shot their engagement photos in early summer of this year. From that I was looking forward to their wedding day.
Upon the day of the wedding, it was no different with their style abound. Some of Rena and Alex’s ideas were original to me though I believe some of them came from Pinterest. I had fun photographing such a fun couple in some of my favourite locations in Windsor – Canadian Club Brand Centre and the St Claire Centre for the Art’s.
Their day was fun filled with lots of smiles and love!
Ever had one of those days that whatever you did seem to work, to fit just right….well this day was one of those days.
Michelle and Matt had a great plan laid out for the days events and executed it to perfection. Was it their planning that made the day as fun as it was; possibly. Was it the awesome weather that helped keep everyone in great spirits; maybe. Or was it that the entire wedding party were just simply a close tight group of friends that would have fun if they had to watch C-SPAN together.
Needless to say this day was a fun day and I want to thank Michelle and Matt for letting me be apart of the festivities, fun and laughter. Even “Jack Nicholson” could resist the fun and made an appearance!
Been a while since my last posting – it’s been a crazy couple months. Holiday season, wedding shows, and moving. Yes, I will have a new address for my home office. The address is 12978 Dillon Dr in Tecumseh. My contact info remains the same – email@example.com and 519 919 4287.
This post I thought I’d get back to a wedding I photographed the first weekend of November 2010.
I had a week off from my Oregon trip I was right back into the swing of things with Amanda and Drew. Living in Toronto but growing up in the area they had came down during the Reb Bull Air Races in the summer for their engagements and knew from that outting it would be a fabulous day.
This was the second time I had Jeff Denomme help me out as my second shooter. Again he was fabulous and very profesional and well liked by all! Thanks again Jeff!
Here are a few favourites from the wedding of Amanda and Drew
Yet another HOT day on the job…but the rain held off the entire day which made everyone including myself happy!
I started at the Hilton where the guys and James’ family were staying and then headed over to Elaine’s parents house where her and the girls were getting ready. Both Elaine and James kept cool under the humidity that the day offered while smiles abound!
The ceremony was held in the same hall as the reception would be later that evening. It was a first for me to have a ceremony inside one of the halls at the St Clair Centre and I think we were all thankful it was as the hall’s A/C was cranked!
Heading across the street the wedding party kept the light heartedness but the heat grabbed Elaine and we needed to get back inside after a half hour.
As the reception kicked into full swing smiles and laughter made the evening fun while time seemed to fly by!
Congrats to you both and thank you for letting me be a part of your day!
What a fun day this was – but wow was it hot! Actually more muggy than hot – the rain again once held for us and brought us to the river front downtown after I photographed in my favourite church in the Windsor area – Assumption.
Living in the Toronto area, Jenn and Doug asked me to have their engagement photos taken up there. I had the pleasure to get to know them a bit better that afternoon and was again looking forward to photographing their wedding.
We had fun – I got the guys on some rocks and no one fell in though it was close! We stopped an elderly couple and asked them to borrow there decorative umbrella and they were more than happy to oblige!
The party continued at the St Clair Centre with lots of smiles and laughter esp. when the bouquet was tossed!
Enjoy and congrats to you both!
The day was one of those that the weatherman had no clue what would happen, neither did any of us! Thankfully the rain held off on this Saturday, the 15th of May.
I had the pleasure to meet Anthony on a few occasions prior to them booking me and I was looking forward to photographing Melissa and his wedding. I wasn’t disappointed in the least! There was lots of fun a laughter and I think their photos show just how much in love these two really are!
Enjoy and congrats to you two again!
