My best of the best from this past decade from 2010 thru to 2019. Showing my timeless style of simplicity, natural beauty, candid moments, dramatic lighting, and just amazing photos from some of the most amazing people I’ve had the pleasure to meet and work with over these last 10 years. Some I even now consider close friends.
Trends were never my thing – though I did try a few in the early 2010’s – but I came into my own style by 2015. The last 4 to 5 years that style has really been predominate with much learning to go in the coming years.
One thing about my work is I take pride knowing an image from last year, the year before or even 9 years ago will stand the test of time. Whether on any wall or mantle my images cannot be dated due to a trend or certain look from the wedding photography industry that has come and gone.
Once again – Thank you to all my clients (friends) from near and far! Love you all. Here’s to the next 10 amazing years to come!
A small intimate wedding in the gorgeous setting of Elmhurst Inn, Ingersoll, ON
Big congrats to Jaime and Patrick.
Their small intimate wedding on the gorgeous grounds of the historic Elmhurst Inn was truly something from a fairy tail. The day was perfect with with the weather being as good as it could be for an outdoor ceremony.
Please enjoy some of their images and if you like them, share them.
2018 has been a different year professionally for me. My weddings slowed down a bit but my commercial work increased, which you can view here (soon). On the personal side of things a lot of growth has come with much more on the horizon. First year in many I didn’t get a chance to head east to my beloved Cape Breton; you were dearly missed!
Got to shoot some fabulous engagements of an amazing couple, Natasha and Nishant, back in my (kinda) hometown of Ottawa on THE hottest day of the year! And I finished off my wedding calendar with a destination to Mexico with two beautiful souls Amanda and Adrian.
Here are some of my favourites from all the highlights I shared with the world this 2018. Hope you enjoy. If your recently engaged or know someone who is – have them contact me for a highly experienced, fun loving energetic photographer – ME!
Tahnee and Devine’s wedding was one I was looking forward to for a while. The plan was for it to be outdoors on the patio at the St Clair Centre for the Arts overlooking the Detroit skyline but mother Nature had different plans for this day. The weather just didn’t co-operate enough to have it outside so inside we went. With their friends, family and their 4 gorgeous children Joe McParland, a family friend, got the married!
With a window of 30 min we managed to hope across the road for some creative images that Tahnee and Devine were hoping for, thankfully the rain held off just at the right moment to get them in.
Here are some of awesome highlights from their day. Enjoy.
This has been a very gloomy, cold and wet spring thus far. But thankfully on the day of Sara and Jordan’s wedding it was simply beautiful. The sun was out with a little cool breeze blowing form Lake St. Clair; everyone who attended their outdoor ceremony couldn’t be happier for this.
The original plan was to have the outdoor ceremony at the Canadian Club Heritage Brand Centre (Hiram Walker’s) in Walkerville but due to the parent company selling off the building it was closed for events as of December 31st 2017. As sad as that news was the new location at Beachgrove Golf and Country Club was the next best location.
Here are some of my favorites from their wedding on May 5th.
It has been a one of the best years for me professionally. I want to again thank and congratulate all my clients this year for trusting in me, my vision and mostly my creativity.
I absolutely love photographing a wedding. All the challenges it brings, both personally and professionally. The best is the artistic freedom that my clients give me! THANK YOU! To all that have enjoyed and grown to love my style over the years – THANK YOU!
I will continue to become better and better, learning as I grow for all my 2018 clients and beyond.
Here’s to the new year and what it might bring to everyone. Cheers and enjoy some of my favourites from this past year of 2017
THANKS to all the vendors who helped bring my art to life!!! Love and happiness to all!
“It was Christmas morning and I was so nervous I couldn’t sleep. I got out of bed around 6 am and had my morning coffee. I knew Melissa was always excited for Christmas morning and would wake up early. So I sat drinking my coffee mustering up the courage to go upstairs. Finally I knew it was time when the sun started to come up. I ran upstairs and woke Melissa by saying that Santa had come. I put her gift in front of her and had her open it. Once she got down to the small ring box I took it from her and got down on one knee to pop the question. She was still wiping the sleep out of her eyes and at first thought I was joking. Once she realized what was happening she said yes!! She jumped out of bed and started freaking out, who to tell first and that she had to get ready. It was our best Christmas thus far.”
Congrats to you both, Melissa + Steve! Thanks for letting me be a part of your day. Here are some of my favourites from your wedding.
“We went camping, he insisted we see the sunset that night so we were rushing after dinner. He told me to take a photo of him holding the sun and I told him it wasn’t working. He was like, Babe….so I looked away from the camera and he was on his knee.”
Here are some favourites from Stef and Ian’s outdoor wedding in Amherstburg, ON. The weather was perfect and we were all thankful as there really wasn’t a plan B if it wasn’t.
Congrats to you both, Stef and Ian. It was my pleasure and honour to be a part of your wedding. All the best to you both.

Friday, Sept 15th was a bitter sweet day for me in my professional photographer career. This might be the last time I get to photograph a wedding at the Canadian Club Heritage Brand Centre. The day was perfect, sun shinning, slight cool breeze off the water, two amazing people about to take the next journey of their lives together.
Brittany and Matthew’s wedding went off without a hitch. Here’s a brief story about the proposal…
Brittany – “I was planning a surprise birthday party with our close friends in the GTA….meanwhile he planned an engagement party with the same friends, they all knew expect for me. That day I was out with my girlfriend and she got me to get my nails done, that wasn’t hard. I then wanted to pick up a cake and drop it off at the restaurant I had planned the “birthday” surprise at, the girls there almost spilled the beans on what was actually happening.
We went back to my friends apartment that we were staying at. Us girls got ready and when I came out of the room, Joel asked for Matt’s camera, and Lindsay asked for Matt’s phone and asked how do I turn the video on, I was oblivious to why they wanted these things but whatever. Matt comes around the corner with this big scrapbook and said, this is for our 1 Year anniversary together. Que the melting my heart. At the end of the book there was a hole cut out with a box sat with the perfect ring. He got down on one knee and had memorized a short and sweet speech. I was trying to keep it together. But, I ugly cried. Later he told me that he had spent the last few months at my parents house on Monday nights while I was out playing volleyball to do this. My parents had no idea that it was how he was going to propose, just that it was a one year present of all that we did that year…”
Congrats to you both Brittany + Matthew. Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day.
Its not often I shoot destination weddings, but Jackie and Wes came to me to photograph their destination wedding in the Playa Del Carmen region of Mexico at the Azul Fives resort, I couldn’t resist.
The location was beautiful, the food was excellent and the company was fun! Great combination for a wedding anywhere! The weather was great all week but it did happen to rain right after the ceremony for about 45 min. Luckily with some location scouting the day before we wasted no time when the skies cleared. Here are some of the best that I think will tell the story of Jackie and Wes’ wedding.
Congrats to you both and thank you for letting me be apart of your fabulous Mexico wedding.
A great start to my 2017 wedding season kicked off with photographing Brittney and James at the historic John R Homestead on the beautiful shores of Lake Erie. The outdoor ceremony was blessed with absolute beautiful weather for mid May with the sun shining and a lite cool breeze.
Both Brittney’s and James’ anticipation and excitement was felt from all guests who gathered to witness the exchanging of vows from two people who are very much in love with each other. Having met the modern way; online, didn’t take away from the love felt for each other. In todays cynical world it was refreshing to see two people who simply adored one another.
I’d like to share some images from Mr. and Mrs Magri’s wedding – enjoy and a big congrats to you both!
2016 has been a fabulous year for me professionally and personally. I want to thank and congratulate all my clients this past year for trusting in me and my vision. I have grown to absolutely love photographing a wedding. The challenges it brings to me both personally and professionally. The artistic freedom that my clients give me and have grown to love over the years brings pure satisfaction to me. I will only strive to become better and better for all my 2017 clients and beyond.
Here’s to the new year and what it my bring to everyone. Cheers and enjoy some of my favourites from this past year of 2016.
Bobby proposed on Aug 30, 2014 while we were on a spontaneous trip to Chicago (now I know why it was spontaneous!). We were walking through Millennium Park and Bobby was bound and determined to find the “Married with Children” fountain. Once we found it, he suddenly exclaimed “wow there are a lot of people over there, lets go over here…” a bit of a tip off LOL. He led me down under a tree right by Lake Michigan and asked me if I could do one thing…take his last name! Then he got down on one knee and presented me with a beautiful ring!
“Ben proposed to me at home in our kitchen. Our kitchen is the place we spend the majority of our time together, so it the setting was perfect. He completely surprised me, especially since I was under the weather on that particular November evening.” Elana.
2015 was a year to remember. My daughter Charleigh was in the 2 year of her life, enjoying learning, laughing and waving at everyone from cars passing by to the airplanes in the sky. My boy Quinn turned 11 and is the typical boy of that age, loving gaming, hockey, YouTube and his baby sister.
Well enough of the chit chat, lets get down to why you are on my blog – to see some of my favourite wedding (and some engagement) images from 2015.
Sit back, grab a glass on your favourite vino and enjoy some images from the best clients a wedding photographer could ask for!
