2018 has been a different year professionally for me. My weddings slowed down a bit but my commercial work increased, which you can view here (soon). On the personal side of things a lot of growth has come with much more on the horizon. First year in many I didn’t get a chance to head east to my beloved Cape Breton; you were dearly missed!
Got to shoot some fabulous engagements of an amazing couple, Natasha and Nishant, back in my (kinda) hometown of Ottawa on THE hottest day of the year! And I finished off my wedding calendar with a destination to Mexico with two beautiful souls Amanda and Adrian.
Here are some of my favourites from all the highlights I shared with the world this 2018. Hope you enjoy. If your recently engaged or know someone who is – have them contact me for a highly experienced, fun loving energetic photographer – ME!
Tricia and Dominick had met 20 years ago in college…over the years their friendship grew in to a love they both couldn’t deny. Through the love of sports, travel and shear determination (from Dom), that love brought them together on August 4th. Friends and family enjoyed a funny spontaneous ceremony from Father Greg at the Most Precious Blood Church ending in the the best view from South West Ontario at the Augustus 27 room at the Caesars Windsor.
Over the last year and half I noticed a resurgence in small business advertising utilizing the visual medias as the central focus of most PR/social media/web based campaigns. Being a commercial photographer besides a wedding photographer I get to meet a lot of successful entrepreneurs in Windsor Essex. I love being behind the camera whether its in the studio updating a realtors head shot for their business cards and website, in the local restaurant updating their menu items or photographing successful businesses for THE DRIVE magazine. I love it all and I proud to bring you these photos from 2016-2017 of successful Windsorites!
If your profile needs to be updated; if your company is running a PR campaign and needs high end professional photography; call or email me today to discuss my rates. Let me help you bring your advertising to the next level.
It has been a one of the best years for me professionally. I want to again thank and congratulate all my clients this year for trusting in me, my vision and mostly my creativity.
I absolutely love photographing a wedding. All the challenges it brings, both personally and professionally. The best is the artistic freedom that my clients give me! THANK YOU! To all that have enjoyed and grown to love my style over the years – THANK YOU!
I will continue to become better and better, learning as I grow for all my 2018 clients and beyond.
Here’s to the new year and what it might bring to everyone. Cheers and enjoy some of my favourites from this past year of 2017
THANKS to all the vendors who helped bring my art to life!!! Love and happiness to all!
I love first looks; the anticipation, the excitement of it all. What I really love from shooting first looks is the true raw emotion that come from them.
Yesterday Brittany and Patrick had a first look. All the above happened and then some. Fun was had as we walked the waterfront and then to Jackson Park for the creative session before the ceremony at the Art Gallery of Windsor. It was a beautiful day, the sun shone down with a light breeze and their small intimate ceremony was perfect over looking the Detroit skyline.
Here are some of my favorites from yesterday. Congrats to you both, Brittany and Patrick. Thanks for letting me be a part of your special day.
Andrew set up the proposal as a complete surprise…
Steph had absolutely no idea – she didn’t even paint her nails! Steph met him downtown in January at the Campus Martius ice rink for some laps. They went skating, and as the zamboni was waiting to come out and the ice was clearing Andrew made her do an extra lap as Steph insisted “they told us to get off the ice!” Then he got down on one knee and asked. There were two secret photographers and a videographer that captured the moment. Afterwards, Steph wanted to call her parents and Andrew said, “Call and tell them, but they are meeting us and my parents for dinner tonight at 7.” To which she responded “But I’m in a tshirt and jeans…” Andrew had a dress, shoes, and jewelry ready for her downtown.
When Brianne contacted me and asked if we could photography their engagement session in Detroit, my creative thoughts started flowing. I love shooting in downtown Detroit as there are so many little locations to choose from and ones waiting to be discovered. And this is what happened a week before their session. I discovered the Z Lot parking garage close to all the favourite hot spots downtown Detroit. Its now my favourite by far. From the parking garage, its a small walk to Greektown where there is always a buzz and lots lof little hidden spots to get some great images.
This was the second wedding I had the pleasure to photography in the US this year. Obviously due to legalities normally I’m not allowed but being that both Victoria and Michael are Canadian (among other details) I was allowed to photograph at the beautiful Meadow Brook location which I have never been. I’m always excited to venture to new locations such as this. And I sure wasn’t disappointed!!
Enjoy the photos and as always don’t be shy, leave some comments!
Had the pleasure of heading over to Detroit with Ann and Mike whos wedding next year will be at the end of May, great time of year! Being Halloween we got through the tunnel in 5 minutes, which I haven’t seen in a very long time! Parked downtown, walked to Greektown and started shooting. The sun popped through a few times for us, but the wind was mighty chilly. We got into the casino and toured around finding some hidden spots before security caught on. lol
Once back outside Mike suggested a break over at the Old Shillelagh’s. We all tried Kid Rock’s new beer, Badass Beer – the name says it all – BAD lol We finished our loop of downtown with a stopover at Campus Martius. Enjoy!
