My best of the best from this past decade from 2010 thru to 2019. Showing my timeless style of simplicity, natural beauty, candid moments, dramatic lighting, and just amazing photos from some of the most amazing people I’ve had the pleasure to meet and work with over these last 10 years. Some I even now consider close friends.
Trends were never my thing – though I did try a few in the early 2010’s – but I came into my own style by 2015. The last 4 to 5 years that style has really been predominate with much learning to go in the coming years.
One thing about my work is I take pride knowing an image from last year, the year before or even 9 years ago will stand the test of time. Whether on any wall or mantle my images cannot be dated due to a trend or certain look from the wedding photography industry that has come and gone.
Once again – Thank you to all my clients (friends) from near and far! Love you all. Here’s to the next 10 amazing years to come!
2018 has been a different year professionally for me. My weddings slowed down a bit but my commercial work increased, which you can view here (soon). On the personal side of things a lot of growth has come with much more on the horizon. First year in many I didn’t get a chance to head east to my beloved Cape Breton; you were dearly missed!
Got to shoot some fabulous engagements of an amazing couple, Natasha and Nishant, back in my (kinda) hometown of Ottawa on THE hottest day of the year! And I finished off my wedding calendar with a destination to Mexico with two beautiful souls Amanda and Adrian.
Here are some of my favourites from all the highlights I shared with the world this 2018. Hope you enjoy. If your recently engaged or know someone who is – have them contact me for a highly experienced, fun loving energetic photographer – ME!
Tricia and Dominick had met 20 years ago in college…over the years their friendship grew in to a love they both couldn’t deny. Through the love of sports, travel and shear determination (from Dom), that love brought them together on August 4th. Friends and family enjoyed a funny spontaneous ceremony from Father Greg at the Most Precious Blood Church ending in the the best view from South West Ontario at the Augustus 27 room at the Caesars Windsor.
Tahnee and Devine’s wedding was one I was looking forward to for a while. The plan was for it to be outdoors on the patio at the St Clair Centre for the Arts overlooking the Detroit skyline but mother Nature had different plans for this day. The weather just didn’t co-operate enough to have it outside so inside we went. With their friends, family and their 4 gorgeous children Joe McParland, a family friend, got the married!
With a window of 30 min we managed to hope across the road for some creative images that Tahnee and Devine were hoping for, thankfully the rain held off just at the right moment to get them in.
Here are some of awesome highlights from their day. Enjoy.
This is how Chantel describes how she was proposed to by Matthew…
“We got engaged in Iceland. He brought the ring without my knowledge and held it on him everywhere we went. He wasn’t sure when he was going to do it but he knew he had to wait for the perfect moment. We had just went snorkeling and deciding to take a hike to the nearest waterfall (Öxarárfoss). It was then he decided he wanted to do it. He had asked friends of ours to take a picture of us in front of this beautiful waterfall and proceeded to get down on one knee. Not knowing what was happening he took the box out of his coat pocket and was shaking like a leaf. I was so worried he was going to drop it and we would never see this ring again. But thankfully he didn’t, he got the words that wanted to say and without hesitation I said YES!”
Over the last year and half I noticed a resurgence in small business advertising utilizing the visual medias as the central focus of most PR/social media/web based campaigns. Being a commercial photographer besides a wedding photographer I get to meet a lot of successful entrepreneurs in Windsor Essex. I love being behind the camera whether its in the studio updating a realtors head shot for their business cards and website, in the local restaurant updating their menu items or photographing successful businesses for THE DRIVE magazine. I love it all and I proud to bring you these photos from 2016-2017 of successful Windsorites!

It has been a one of the best years for me professionally. I want to again thank and congratulate all my clients this year for trusting in me, my vision and mostly my creativity.
I absolutely love photographing a wedding. All the challenges it brings, both personally and professionally. The best is the artistic freedom that my clients give me! THANK YOU! To all that have enjoyed and grown to love my style over the years – THANK YOU!
I will continue to become better and better, learning as I grow for all my 2018 clients and beyond.
Here’s to the new year and what it might bring to everyone. Cheers and enjoy some of my favourites from this past year of 2017
THANKS to all the vendors who helped bring my art to life!!! Love and happiness to all!
“It was Christmas morning and I was so nervous I couldn’t sleep. I got out of bed around 6 am and had my morning coffee. I knew Melissa was always excited for Christmas morning and would wake up early. So I sat drinking my coffee mustering up the courage to go upstairs. Finally I knew it was time when the sun started to come up. I ran upstairs and woke Melissa by saying that Santa had come. I put her gift in front of her and had her open it. Once she got down to the small ring box I took it from her and got down on one knee to pop the question. She was still wiping the sleep out of her eyes and at first thought I was joking. Once she realized what was happening she said yes!! She jumped out of bed and started freaking out, who to tell first and that she had to get ready. It was our best Christmas thus far.”
Congrats to you both, Melissa + Steve! Thanks for letting me be a part of your day. Here are some of my favourites from your wedding.
“We went camping, he insisted we see the sunset that night so we were rushing after dinner. He told me to take a photo of him holding the sun and I told him it wasn’t working. He was like, Babe….so I looked away from the camera and he was on his knee.”
Here are some favourites from Stef and Ian’s outdoor wedding in Amherstburg, ON. The weather was perfect and we were all thankful as there really wasn’t a plan B if it wasn’t.
Congrats to you both, Stef and Ian. It was my pleasure and honour to be a part of your wedding. All the best to you both.

Friday, Sept 15th was a bitter sweet day for me in my professional photographer career. This might be the last time I get to photograph a wedding at the Canadian Club Heritage Brand Centre. The day was perfect, sun shinning, slight cool breeze off the water, two amazing people about to take the next journey of their lives together.
Brittany and Matthew’s wedding went off without a hitch. Here’s a brief story about the proposal…
Brittany – “I was planning a surprise birthday party with our close friends in the GTA….meanwhile he planned an engagement party with the same friends, they all knew expect for me. That day I was out with my girlfriend and she got me to get my nails done, that wasn’t hard. I then wanted to pick up a cake and drop it off at the restaurant I had planned the “birthday” surprise at, the girls there almost spilled the beans on what was actually happening.
We went back to my friends apartment that we were staying at. Us girls got ready and when I came out of the room, Joel asked for Matt’s camera, and Lindsay asked for Matt’s phone and asked how do I turn the video on, I was oblivious to why they wanted these things but whatever. Matt comes around the corner with this big scrapbook and said, this is for our 1 Year anniversary together. Que the melting my heart. At the end of the book there was a hole cut out with a box sat with the perfect ring. He got down on one knee and had memorized a short and sweet speech. I was trying to keep it together. But, I ugly cried. Later he told me that he had spent the last few months at my parents house on Monday nights while I was out playing volleyball to do this. My parents had no idea that it was how he was going to propose, just that it was a one year present of all that we did that year…”
Congrats to you both Brittany + Matthew. Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day.
I love small intimate weddings – they are always relaxed, simple yet so very personal to the couple who is getting married. Which is truly exactly how I would I love to do it if redone 16 years earlier! Here’s a brief story about John’s proposal…”We were having a lazy day in bed watching movies. He gave me a box I couldn’t see what it was so I asked him and he asked me to marry him. Was perfect for us because if he would of suggested we go out for dinner I would of known. I was definitely surprised.”
Congrats to you both, Jenny and John and your entire family.
Here are some favorites form Jenny and John’s wedding.
Labour Day weekend is a special weekend in Canada. It represents a lot of change and new beginnings. For myself its usually my anniversary weekend as my wife and I got married on the 1st of Sept, which makes it even that more special for me. Photographing a couples wedding on this weekend brings back many memories of us preparing, getting ready, all the while seeing and celebrating with many distant friends and family. Yesterday I had the utmost pleasure to photograph a couple who I’ve know for a few years through mutual friends. Their joy, love and laughter has always been present and yesterday saw the accumulative of their two families joining together.
Congrats to you both, Melissa and Joe and your entire family, including Chucky.
Here are some favorites form Melissa and Joe’s wedding.
I love first looks; the anticipation, the excitement of it all. What I really love from shooting first looks is the true raw emotion that come from them.
Yesterday Brittany and Patrick had a first look. All the above happened and then some. Fun was had as we walked the waterfront and then to Jackson Park for the creative session before the ceremony at the Art Gallery of Windsor. It was a beautiful day, the sun shone down with a light breeze and their small intimate ceremony was perfect over looking the Detroit skyline.
Here are some of my favorites from yesterday. Congrats to you both, Brittany and Patrick. Thanks for letting me be a part of your special day.
“If ‘A’ was ‘yes’ and ‘B’ was ‘no’ I’d choose ‘A’”
This is the answer to the question Brendan asked Miranda way back on their first date….”Will you be my girlfriend?” From that moment 9 years ago, these high school sweethearts paths were joined and have been together since.
Here’s a brief story about the proposal from Miranda… “Brendan and I were taking a walk by the Peace Fountain at the River, which is pretty much something we do all the time. It was a beautiful breezy, somewhat cloudy day. I was taking pictures of the view. Brendan suggested I go take some closer pictures of the fountain. So as I moved closer and started taking pictures Brendan decided to update his status on Facebook to “I’m about to propose to Miranda lol”. I felt the vibration of my phone but thought nothing of the sort and when I turned around Brendan was down on one knee with the engagement ring held up in his hands. He was grinning and I was giggling and he asked me the most defining and biggest question I ever was asked in my entire life. He asked if I would be his wife. In typical awkward fashion I responded first by asking if he had asked my father and secondly, after he had said that he had, that of course I would marry him. It was simple and exactly the way I would have wanted it.”
