CIBC Run for the Cure, Windsor ON, 2019

CIBC Run for the Cure, Windsor ON, 2019

Here are some of the highlights from this years run in Windsor ON, Oct 6th 2019. The rain came right on time when the run started as it seems to almost on the annual, but it didn’t stop the 800+ participants who ran with open hearts and smiles for this amazing cause to fight breast cancer!

Thanks to all who ran, donated, sponsored and volunteered! Without each and everyone of you this amazing event wouldn’t be such a huge success as it is every year!

Please enjoy and share with all who might as well.

Windsor Ontario’s CIBC Run for the Cure 2018

The day started out very wet, cold, rainy and down right miserable. But as more and more people showed up for this wonderful amazing event the rain slowly stopped and the temperature rose.

With the help of all the volunteers and sponsors this years Run was a huge success with (at the time of the event) raised over a hundred thousand dollars from Windsor’s run alone. More will trickle in, in the coming weeks, so if you haven’t donated please do at this website – http://www.cancer.ca/en/events/on/cibc-run-for-the-cure/cibc-run-for-the-cure-in-windsor/?region=on

Here are some highlights from today’s event. Thanks and I honored to be a part of yet another huge successful Run this year.

Cheers, T

2016/17 Commercial year in Review

2016/17 Commercial year in Review

Over the last year and half I noticed a resurgence in small business advertising utilizing the visual medias as the central focus of most PR/social media/web based campaigns. Being a commercial photographer besides a wedding photographer I get to meet a lot of successful entrepreneurs in Windsor Essex. I love being behind the camera whether its in the studio updating a realtors head shot for their business cards and website, in the local restaurant updating their menu items or photographing successful businesses for THE DRIVE magazine. I love it all and I proud to bring you these photos from 2016-2017 of successful Windsorites!

If your profile needs to be updated; if your company is running a PR campaign and needs high end professional photography; call or email me today to discuss my rates. Let me help you bring your advertising to the next level.

Enjoy the photos, and as always…cheers, Trevor

2012 – the good, the clients and the mountain…

2012 – the good, the clients and the mountain…

What a year.

2012 will be one of the most memorable years in my photography business. The first few months are always slow, which comes with the weather. But this is the time of year to catch up, learn new techniques, begin new advertising campaigns, share photos with you all that I just didn’t have time to do throughout my busy summer/autumn months. Along with all the computer work I shot some great classic children’s portraits, dramatic baby bumps and edgy but classic business head shots. We also got the cutest puppy in the world! There were a lot of fundraising events for our charity – “Climb Kili 2012” which you can click here to still donate to such a great cause!

This year was a first for me – WPPI in Vegas. Super cool conference. Learned a few new tricks of the trade along with seeing what is hot and what is not in the industry. I can see myself going again!

This years busy season was an exceptional one. Training to climb Mount Kilimanjaro was in high gear while fundraising for our local hospital amongst shooting for all my clients made it for a year to remember. Gaining new clients like Grill 55, Government of Ontario, ADA Architects, Blackburn Radio, Downtown Windsor Business Accelerator, Foia Restaurant, Level 3 Vodka Emporium to name a few. All the while keeping my amazing existing clients happy ( STC Construction, University of Windsor Ontario, Dragon Boats, Beaverfest, etc) when called upon.

Amongst all my work are some of my favourite personal photos I have taken this year. Had the pleasure to photograph a wedding in Cape Breton. So spending a few days on the new Cabot Links golf coarse and enjoying Inverness’s amazing beach made it for a great working holiday.

The rest of the summer I watched my boy win his baseball little league, polar bears at the Detroit Zoo, the Stanley Cup come to Amherstburg ON, and finally drop that extra 5 lb’s to help me get to the top of Kilimanjaro.

Spending 13 days in Africa with such an amazing group of people all the while pushing ourselves to the limits physically and mentally and reaching the summit of Africa’s highest mountain – Kilimanjaro was worth 18 months of fundraising and training! Finishing off our trip we experienced the wild side of Africa while on a 3 day safari. It was truly a trip of a lifetime!

The last 3.5 months of last year has been THE busiest I have ever been. Yet I still found some down time to go see an NFL game in Buffalo and to send a couple day at Kalahari with my friend Mike and our boys.

Thanks to everyone who has supported me and my business over the years. Last was great, though I’m not sure how I will be able to top it. I can assure you that I will surely try!

Cheers!

(Tecumseh) International Dragon Boats for the Cure 2012 – Sunday’s Highlights

(Tecumseh) International Dragon Boats for the Cure 2012 – Sunday’s Highlights

Sunday is the day the of the big racing. Over 1200 racers this year hit the water paddling to raise over (collectively) $2 million dollars in the last 10 years. Being that this was the 10th anniversary year, the festival was bigger and better than ever before!

With the 8th year of changing the layout of when and how racers get to the boats, this years change was the best yet! Seeing all the tents and teams on the old Lakewood Golf Course and walking across to the newly formed park across Riverside Dr. Some nice big speakers from the stag gave the teams and racers the knowledge of what was happening at all times with races continuing non-stop up till the rose ceremony at 11am.

Saturday I hoped into a boat to get the photos from the waters view but decided to actually walk into the water on Sunday. Being it only up to my waist I wasn’t worried of getting my camera wet at all. And I’m really happy I did it! the best views are always from the water and the angles I could get were exactly what I expected without worrying where the driver of the boat was going.

After a short lunch break the racing continued through the afternoon. At one point I figured there had to be over 4000 people at the event. Fabulous to see such support for such an amazing cause!!

Enjoy the highlights from Sunday and if anyone would like to purchase any of the photos please contact me directly for sizing and pricing.

Cheers

Dragon Boats 2011

Dragon Boats 2011

As summer moves along and I’m finally able to catch up on my editing, I have a chance to start bogging again. Back in spring time I had a chance to meet with Anissa Noaks who was part of the (Tecumseh) International Dragon Boats for the Cure team and asked if I would like to photograph the event at the end of July.
Having a wedding to photograph on the Saturday I was only able to stay a couple hours, but Sunday allowed me to enjoy the entire day from start to finish. And even getting out on a safety boat for the all the finals in each division.
If you happen to see your team, self or a friends or family OR if you think I may have taken a shot and you don’t see it and would like a copy of such photo, please contact me directly or through Beth Noaks. It was hard for me to choose from 10 000+ images from that weekend. Very hard!

Looking forward to next years 10th anniversary event!
Cheers

Catherine and Dave – Sun, surf and laughter!

Catherine and Dave – Sun, surf and laughter!

Happy New Year to you all!
This being the first post of 2010 it’s an honour to bring you my latest wedding from the Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Catherine and Dave’s ceremony on the beach was short sweet and very sensual! Though surrounded by half naked tourists, children playing in the surf and a resort photographer who jumped in front of me more than once, none of that mattered as I came, I seeked, I conquered! Catherine was brave enough to endure the ocean’s surf for their post ceremony shoot. The lighting was perfect and by the time we were wrapping up the beach had emptied enough to get some portraits of them without the mayhem of Speedos and thongs.

The night continued at the reception where the family tradition of – excuse the spelling – YAKA was made and drank. Though it’s a family secret and I do now know how to make I won’t indulge as I’m afraid I may get one of those green lemons in the face! haha

Enjoy the photos from the Dominican. I’ll post their New Years Eve pix after the big Wedding Show this weekend at the Caboto Club of Windsor.

If your there drop by and say hello!

Cheers!

Margret Atwood talks environment….

Margret Atwood talks environment….

Had the utmost pleasure to be introduced and the honour of photographing one of Canada’s foremeost living icons in the world today – Margret Atwood.
She was in Windsor, ON on the last leg of her 8 month book signing tour and sat down with ERCA and THE DRIVE magazine for a small interview.
While she talked about how the environment is within our community and Canada, I snapped away some very intriguing photos of her.
Enjoy and keep smiling!
