Friday, Sept 15th was a bitter sweet day for me in my professional photographer career. This might be the last time I get to photograph a wedding at the Canadian Club Heritage Brand Centre. The day was perfect, sun shinning, slight cool breeze off the water, two amazing people about to take the next journey of their lives together.
Brittany and Matthew’s wedding went off without a hitch. Here’s a brief story about the proposal…
Brittany – “I was planning a surprise birthday party with our close friends in the GTA….meanwhile he planned an engagement party with the same friends, they all knew expect for me. That day I was out with my girlfriend and she got me to get my nails done, that wasn’t hard. I then wanted to pick up a cake and drop it off at the restaurant I had planned the “birthday” surprise at, the girls there almost spilled the beans on what was actually happening.
We went back to my friends apartment that we were staying at. Us girls got ready and when I came out of the room, Joel asked for Matt’s camera, and Lindsay asked for Matt’s phone and asked how do I turn the video on, I was oblivious to why they wanted these things but whatever. Matt comes around the corner with this big scrapbook and said, this is for our 1 Year anniversary together. Que the melting my heart. At the end of the book there was a hole cut out with a box sat with the perfect ring. He got down on one knee and had memorized a short and sweet speech. I was trying to keep it together. But, I ugly cried. Later he told me that he had spent the last few months at my parents house on Monday nights while I was out playing volleyball to do this. My parents had no idea that it was how he was going to propose, just that it was a one year present of all that we did that year…”
Congrats to you both Brittany + Matthew. Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day.
Cheers, Trevor

Oh Trevor…Where do we even begin. Fait lead us to you. I had contacted a few photographers 2 years before our wedding and had a hard time getting responses, but you sir promptly returned my emails and we soon met. I have seen your work over the last several years and have always admired it. Not just your wedding portfolio but your commercial work too. We had friends who also recommended you and they were spot on. It was no hesitation on our part to choose you to capture our day. Your work speaks for itself. Our whole day was so much fun and you captured it in a way that was “us”. At the end of the night you told us that you normally have a sneak peek album available the next day but you had a wedding the next day so it wouldn’t be up until Sunday. I was blown away because I honestly didn’t expect to see anything for a few weeks. Sunday morning we had not just 4 or 5 photos to peek at…we had a TON! I was so excited and loved each of them. Then, I didn’t expect to get all of our photos back for at least a few months, but when we came back from our honeymoon I got an email with a link to ALL of our photos and was once again blown away. I really don’t know how we’re going to choose which ones to print. You blended right in with our wedding party, enjoyed a little C.C. with us and ventured into the basement for some incredible shots. Thank you for capturing a once in a lifetime experience. You made our day so easy. I really hope to work with you in the future. Maybe some family shots in the coming years. Thank you Trevor.
Sincerely,
Brittany & Matthew Legare
