I love Cape Breton. Its a place where cell phones and the day to day technology doesn’t matter as much as with think.
I had the pleasure to photography Melody and Mike’s engagements last summer across from Port Hood on Port Hood Island. It had some sentimental meaning to Mike with his family having grown up fishing from its tiny harbour.
The day of the wedding started off like a bride and groom would hope for. Sunny and cool with a slight ocean breeze. By the ceremony time clouds came in and the wind picked up but spirits didn’t fad. Nor did the laughter and fun the wedding party endured.
The day continued back to Judique for the reception after the wedding party enjoyed a relaxing hour at Mike and Mel’s rented cottage. With dinner served and speeches said, the dancing continued a fun evening till the wee hours.
