It all started ed at the rehearsal dinner the Thursday night. Being related to Carla through my wife we were also invited to the pig roast/rehearsal dinner so how could I not bring my camera and capture some intimate candid moments into the wee hours of the morning.
Saturday came with the weatherman on everyone’s good side! Sunny with a chance of sun! Couldn’t ask for better weather that day esp with an outdoor ceremony in the evening.
Carla and Corey decided to break with tradition and see each other before the ceremony – if you know them at all it wouldn’t surprise you. I started with Carla and her girls up at her mom’s house and then ventured into town to get the boys and bring them back so Corey could have the “first sighting” and we could start photos with the entire wedding party there. We ventured through the big metropolis of Scotsville including my father-in-law’s place where the views are spectacular of Lake Ainsley.
Back in town we dropped of the wedding party at the B+B and headed out on our own to the newest and great golf course I’ve played! The Cabot Links – be sure to check it out even if you are not a golfer! So we headed to the 10th tee box and fairway to get some great views of the Inverness harbour.
From there we ventured a down the coast to Broad Cove and the Marshes of Broad Cove. The views and scenery are second to none in all of the East coast!
With time getting it was back to Scotsville for the main event of the day – the ceremony. It took place at Carla’s parents house over looking the lake and one couldn’t have asked for a better setting.A few drinks and mingling and it was to the tent for apps and speeches. Which were very emotional for both Carla and Corey as they each lost a parent suddenly in the last year.
With the sun setting and the bugs starting to fly the evening ended with a reception down at the Scotsville Fire hall!
Cheers
